Digital Kitchen brings together a diverse group of long-term media professionals: documentary makers; journalists; writers and photographers.

We work – separately or co-operatively – to satisfy a shared creative urge.

Our documentaries, books, photographs and other output celebrate our own life experiences, people we have known and moments in time we want to remember and celebrate.

Foundation projects involved Tasmania’s fine food and beverages and the great chef Tetsuya Wakuda. A diversity of activity has sparked off the people and events we have been involved with, or have been fortunate enough to witness.

Photography

Life is a wonderful tapestry and street snapper is our photographic style. We offer visual records of the places and lives it has been our privilege to observe in the helter-skelter of documentary work, or in our more leisurely travels.

Check out our photo gallery and consider how these images could add warmth to your office or home. You might choose a single moment in time that has special resonance – or opt for combined images that provide an insight into a world apart.

Because of the pace of documentary work, it is seldom possible to wait patiently with positioned tripod and set cable-release for the photographer’s moment of perfect light. Fortunately, spontaneity can provide rich compensation. You judge.
